MIT's Climate Action Through Education (CATE) Program invites high school teacher of all disciplines to sign up for our PAID Classroom Pilot Program this school year. The opportunity will include potential PDPs, access to the curriculum, virtual climate info sessions with grad students, options for grad student 'climate advisors', two in-person* meetings with the cohort of teachers and CATE team, and much more!
The interdisciplinary, teacher-developed curriculum is written especially for English/LA, History/SS, Math and Science classes. It emphasizes climate solutions and leans on place-based learning to engage and inspire students. We ask that participants pilot at least one lesson/lab/unit from the curriculum, for $100 stipend per lesson and a maximum of $450. The piloting must take place before the end of the 2022-23 school year but within that range it is entirely up to you.
Sign up here: bit.ly/CATEPilotProgram ASAP.
