The Central MA STEM Network Ecosystem is offering its members mini-grants to support its mission "to nurture youth who experience low-income and under-representation with engaging STEM experiences throughout Central Massachusetts." The Massachusetts STEM Week is a statewide effort to boost the interest, awareness and ability for all learners to envision themselves in STEM education and employment opportunities, and compliment the formal instruction happening in the Commonwealth beyond STEM week. STEM Week in Massachusetts is scheduled to be October 17-21, 2022.
Expectations:
o Align with CMSNE mission (wp.wpi.edu/cmsn) and STEM Week theme/goals (www.massstemweek.org)
o Submit event to be posted on CMSNE STEM Week website
o Submit a short summary paragraph and photos of event
o Complete a post-STEM Week survey
Grants may be $25-500, depending on the size and scope of the STEM Week activity. The mini-grants might contribute to the funding for:
o Classroom supplies for teachers or out-of-school time programs
o Out-of-school-time programming
o Free public events
o Transportation
o Speaker
o Professional development for educators
o Large public event (e.g., science festival)
